Vote NO Measure B

In the resolution passed by our City Council "they" define hotels as,
"Hotel" means any structure, or any portion of any structure, which is occupied or intended or designed for occupancy by transients for dwelling, lodging or sleeping purposes, and includes any hotel, inn, tourist home or house, motel, studio hotel, bachelor hotel, lodging house, rooming house, apartment house, dormitory, public or private club, mobile home or house trailer at a fixed location, or other similar structure or portion thereof.

And if anyone fails to pay the bed tax than the responsibility falls upon you.

The resolution says that the tax administrator can assess the full amount of any taxes and penalties solely against the operator (which is you).

Why doesn't everyone just be honest and transparent with us residents instead of making up new definitions to words to hind things from us?

This tax could put a “black mark” on our homes hurting the resale value. How would you like to explain to a potential buyer that there is a special Stanton city tax if they want to rent it out! This could decrease our selling price by tens of thousands of dollars!
